Government

Government is formed by the political party (or coalition of parties and independent members of Parliament) that achieves the majority of members elected to the lower house of parliament, which is one of two houses of parliament (except in Queensland, the Australian Capital Territory, and the Northern Territory, which have only one house of parliament). All members of parliament who belong to this political party (or coalition) form the government.

This Government has the authority to govern the state or country.
