Support Person
1. Someone who can provide emotional or other support to a party at a hearing or police questioning.
2. (In tribunals) In cases about medical treatment and advance care directives, someone who represents another person’s interests about medical treatment and supports that person to make, communicate and help bring about the person’s medical treatment decisions.
